Our goal is to offer practical solutions to tree problems, in accordance with industry standards. Due to levels of demand, any new projects will have site visits scheduled for APRIL onwards.

Tree Report Types

1. General Summary

An overview document providing tree species, health, structure, form, risk, and status classification (Exempt, Unregulated, Regulated, or Significant), plus TPZ and SRZ measurements.  This streamlined report serves clients requiring initial arboricultural guidance without detailed technical analysis. Typically used for early feasibility assessments, informing house/land buying decisions, or council pre-lodgement discussions to determine what formal report may be needed for development applications or to inform design work with TPZ constraints. Not suitable for formal council submission/development applications.

2. Preliminary Assessment Report

A formal evaluation identifying regulated and significant trees, TPZ calculations, encroachment mapping on plans, and encroachment analysis – 0-10% Minor, 10-20% Moderate, 20%+ Major.  This report informs potential tree removal decisions for regulated or significant trees and responds to relevant Planning and Design Code clauses.

3. Arboricultural Impact Assessment

The comprehensive technical report for development applications, providing detailed AS 4970-2025 compliance analysis, TPZ/SRZ encroachment calculations, Clause 3.3.2 factor assessments, and Planning Code responses.  This document focuses on tree protection specifications, tree-friendly excavation methods, and tree-friendly construction systems when development occurs near retained trees.

4. Hybrid - Preliminary and Impact Assessment

A combined document providing both early-stage constraint identification and comprehensive impact analysis within a single report. This format suits projects where multiple trees require different outcomes (removal versus retention) or when immediate detailed assessment is required for development approval.

Lawrence Michell. (Arboriculturist)

I started my career as a climbing arborist in 2002. I continued climbing when I moved to Australia in 2005. I then had a 7-year period working in public liability. In 2018, I went back into tree work and began studying for a diploma (AQF 5) in Arboriculture which I completed in 2020. I then completed a Graduate Certificate (AQF 8) in Arboriculture in 2021. Since then I have built up years of consulting experience and solving tree issues.
